Under the Tokyo International Conference on African Development or TICAD initiatives, three Africa-Asia Business Forums were held. MASSCORP played key roles in all 3 AABFs:
· coordinate Malaysian and Asian
  participation to the Forums
· assistance with training, capacity
  building and business introductions,
  follow-ups, tie-ups, post agreements
· post AABF surveys
· Recommendations to organisers on
how to improve the next event.

The inaugural forum was held in 1999 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, while the second AABF was held in Durban, South Africa in 2001.

The third AABF was held in Dakar, Senegal in 2004. These forums have helped to bring the two regions – Africa and Asia – closer.

MASSCORP has been providing a range of services to the World Bank Group.

These include:
· Sharing Malaysia’s
  development experiences
· promoting business linkages via
  MASSCORP’s networks
· provision of technical experts and
  consultancy services on areas where
  Malaysia has experience and
  competitive strength e.g.
  establishment of industrial parks,
  port development, etc.

In collaboration with the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) of the World Bank Group, MASSCORP hosted a number of Heads of Governments and Ministers from Africa. Some of these visits included:

1. Former Minister of Finance from
    Zanzibar
2. Former President from Ghana, Kenya
    and Namibia

Our collaboration with UNIDO’s Hippalos Centre resulted in a very successful Asian mission to Uganda and Tanzania.
